| | Cholinesterase Inhibition Assay |
| Description: | The cholinesterase assays were performed using colorimetric method reported by Ellman. The absorbance changes at 412 nm were recorded for 5 min with spectrophotometer. The reaction rates were compared and the percent inhibition due to the presence of test compounds was calculated. Inhibition curve was obtained for each compound. The compound concentration producing 50% of enzyme inhibition (IC50) was determined. |
