| Description: | The kinase activity was determined by quantitation of the amount of radioactive phosphate transferred to myelin basic protein (MBP) with or without inhibitor. Bound radiolabeled phosphate was quantitated using a TopCount 96-well liquid scintillation counter (Packard Instrument). The concentration of the p38-GST fell within the linear range of the enzyme assay. The p38 enzyme preparation assayed under assay conditions retained full activity through the 21 h incubation time. |
