| Description: | Tritiated E1 was incubated with 17beta-HSD1, cofactor, and inhibitor. The amount of labeled E2 formed was quantified by HPLC. Detection and quantification of the steroids were performed using a radioflow detector (Berthold Technologies, Bad Wildbad). The conversion rate was calculated: %conversion = (%E2/ (%E2 +%E1) x 100). Each value was calculated from at least three independent experiments. |
