| Description: | Antagonist activity of test compounds was measured in HEK293 cells stably expressing the human recombinant CaR (HEK-CaR) by determining the ability of these compounds to block increases in (Ca2+)i after addition of Ca2+ to the culture medium. Fluorescence was monitored using a fluorescence imaging plate reader (FLIPR). The dose-response curves for the compounds (half-log concentrations in triplicate) were generated based upon the ability of the compounds to inhibit the Ca2+-induced increase in (Ca2+)i-related fluorescence. |
