| Description: | The potency of the compounds is quantified by measuring the Histone Deacetylase 9 (HDAC9) enzymatic activity using the fluorogenic substrate, Boc-Lys(Tfa)-AMC. The substrate is deacetylated to Boc-Lys-AMC by HDAC9. Cleavage by trypsin results in the release of the fluorophore AMC from the deacetylated substrate. The fluorescence of the sample is directly related to the histone deacetylase activity in the sample. |
