Description:  The Ki values were determined using a spectrophotometric assay at 25° C., 0.1 M Tris-HCl, 10 mM MgCl2, pH 7.4 (Keough, D. T.; Ng, A. L.; Winzor, D. J.; Emmerson, B. T.; de Jersey, J. Purification and characterization of Plasmodium falciparum hypoxanthine-guanine-xanthine phosphoribosyltransferase and comparison with the human enzyme. Mol. Biochem. The Ki values are Ki(app) as they were measured at a single concentration of the second substrate. The concentration of the second substrate (guanine) was saturating: 60 μM.
