| Description: | The enzymatic inhibition assay of HpFabZ was monitored by the spectrophotometric method. The activity of HpFabZ was measured by detection of the decrease in absorbance at 260 nm for the conversion of crotonoyl-CoA to beta-hydroxybutyryl-CoA. The compound dissolved in 1% Me2SO was incubated with the enzyme for 1 h before the assay was started. The 50% inhibitory concentration (IC50) of each inhibitor was estimated by fitting the inhibition data to a dose-dependent curve using a logistic derivative equation. |
