| Description: | VIM-2 was diluted to 6 μM with 50 mM HEPES, pH 7.5, containing 150 mM NaCl. The diluted protein solution was used to make several 5 mL aliquots. L-Captopril, EDTA, 31, 41, and 43 were each added to two aliquots. One aliquot contained one molar equivalent of inhibitor (6 μM), with respect to enzyme concentration, and the second aliquot contained two molar equivalents (12 μM). One aliquot contained no inhibitor. Each aliquot was then incubated for 4 h at 4° C. Following incubation, each aliquot was dialyzed versus 500 mL of 50 mM HEPES, pH 7.5, for 4 h at 4° C. The aliquots were analyzed using ICP-AES, as previously described REF. |
