| Description: | The concentration of inhibitor which results in 50% inhibition (IC50) of enzyme activity was determined by preincubating recombinant S. aureus TyrRS with a range of inhibitor concentrations for 10 min at room temperature followed by the addition of pre-warmed mix for 5 min at 37C. The reaction was terminated by adding aliquots of the reaction mix into ice-cold TCA and counted by liquid scintillation. The data was fitted by a least squares procedure using GRAFIT. |
