| Description: | The ability of the compounds (3c-3e and 4c-4e) to inhibit ovine COX-1 and COX-2 was evaluated using a colorimetric COX (ovine) inhibitor screening assay kit (catalogue number 760111, Cayman Chemical, Ann Arbor, MI, USA), which utilises the peroxidase component of COX, as per the manufacturer's instructions. The peroxidase activity is assayed colorimetrically by monitoring the appearance of oxidised N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl-p-phenylenediamine (TMPD) at 590 nm. |
